Just posted a blog post I did before leaving Spore.
I'm back in SG baby!
Switzerland was beautiful. The castles/ forest etc. Will post pictures another day xD
Paris was awesomeeeee!!
Bags bags and more bags!
weeeeeeeee!
Bro has been complaning that Mom is being biased cos she spent so much on me. :D
*shrugs*
Not my fault that you have nothing to buy wad!!
And and, we are going to "share" the bags that
we she bought..
(but we both know its mine!!)
Europe is really really really an expensive country.
I find myself trying to scrimp and save on food expenses so that I could go shopping.
Really, nobody saves while travelling. You either do it before or after, not during.
How can a plate of beef lasagna cost 8 euros. Which is ~S$16.
I'm not kidding! Just a slice of lasagna leh!! No drinks, not soup!
(Are you thinking about pizza hut too?)
We ate twice at a petrol station, in the cafeteria. 4 people, easily 50 euros. With drinks and a pie.
Y SO EXPENSIVE?!?!
HOW MUCH DO THESE PEOPLE EARN MAN!
Paris took only 2 days on our itinerary, which was clearly not enough. The last day was free and easy. So some of us took the train by ourselves to get to the shopping centre.
Communication is definitely a problem in Paris. They only speak French, German, Swiss-German, Swiss-French etc etc. Lucky we had a map to point out to them.
More and more Asians are going over there to work.
At LV, you get assigned an assistant by the language you can communicate better with.
Say you want a Mandarin speaking assistant, they give you a Chinese.
A Japanese speaking one, you get a Japanese.
A Korean speaking one, you get a Korean.
For English and French its simple, almost everybody there could speak.
Tourists shop in LV like O.O
I once saw 2 men from China carrying 5 bags each on their hands.
And, as what Charmaine would have said if we were at Orchard: "aiya, they carry the paper bag but inside is not LV!!"
No, you get the real thing in Paris.
5 bags!
I overheard one man ask the other, :"mai le kai xin mah? (Are you happy after buying so much?)"
I didn't bother to hear the reply. He should be. I would.
xD
what we could have been, 5:31 PM.
Hoho. Been pretty busy, whatever, I just have nothing to blog about.
Trainings everyday. From 9.30-12, lunch break till 3 then row till 6 again. :'(
My attendance hasn't been fantastic cos of my sprained back.
I'm stuck with T1 until my back becomes stronger.. and the feeling sucks. U row for less than 5 km, and shift your butt and stretch ur back, just cos it hurts like hell.
Grr. But i'll stay on.. I think..
Quoting what Damien said the other day: "We train like dogs, and yet still lose to bowling -.-"
Really. We're out in the sun the whole day, we get burned, we sweat, we get blisters on our hands... and we still lose to bowling.
Where is the justice?
Anyways, will be flying off to Switzerland on wednesday!!
I wasn't excited until I started packing my bags and going online to check out what I could buy there: bags, choco, bags bags and more bags.
what we could have been, 2:08 PM.
